Controllinganwendungen mit OLAP
Zusammenfassung
Data Warehouse und On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) sind aktuelle Konzepte der Wirtschaftsinformatik. Die zugrundeliegenden Ideen können unter anderem als Fortentwicklung der auf Goetz und Schmalenbach zurückgehenden Idee einer zweckneutralen Grundrechnung mit Sonder- und Auswertungsrechnungen gesehen werden. Data Warehouse ist ein Konzept zur redundanten Speicherung von entscheidungsorientierten Daten, die als Grundlage für Managementunterstützungssysteme dienen. OLAP bezeichnet die multidimensionale analytische Datenauswertung, die "On-Line" durch die Unternehmensführung und der sie unterstützenden Organe durchgeführt werden soll. Die Anwendung der OLAP-Technologie ist aufgrund ihrer speziellen Eigenschaften besonders für das Controlling als Planungs- und Kontrollinstrument geeignet. Der Beitrag gibt zunächst eine kurze Einordnung der Begriffe und geht danach auf die betriebswirtschaftliche Realisierung von Controllinganwendungen mit OLAP ein.

Data Warehousing and On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) are current concepts in the field of business information sciences. The main ideas are related to the basic concept of governing the initial recording of cost data with standard and ad-hoc reporting which goes back to Goetz and Schmalenbach. Data Warehouse is as well a concept of redundant storage of mana-gerial data as it is a foundation of Management Support Systems. OLAP is a technology for multidimensional analytical assessment which implies the opportunity for being used on-line by the corporate management and its supporting units.Due to its great capacities OLAP-technology especially is suited as an instrument of planning and control for the support of managerial accounting. First, the article gives a brief introduction of both concepts. Second, it concentrates on details concerning the realisation of applicating managerial accounting.
